Phnom Penh: Starting from March 31, 2025, the Institute of Digital Governance of Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, has launched a digital capacity-building program on “Information Literacy, Data, and Cybersecurity” for 1,000 commune-level agricultural officials. The program is supported through funding from the Capacity Building Research and Development (CBRD) program of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, with accommodation and meals for participants covered by GIZ. This training program is scheduled to conclude on May 22, 2025, and is divided into 20 groups.
The purpose of this program is to enhance the capacity and knowledge of civil servants in key areas such as data literacy, cybersecurity, data privacy, productivity software, and protective measures for both devices and internet systems. The program will equip the civil servants to perform their duties more securely and efficiently while also utilizing data-driven decision-making—particularly in contributing to the development of digital human capital in Cambodia that aligns with the Digital Government Policy of the Royal Government.
It is important to note that in 2024, the Institute of Digital Governance had already conducted a similar training program for 250 commune-level agricultural officials.
