On August 27, 2025, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) collaboratively hosted a successful seminar on “AI in Public Health” at the Innovation Center, CADT. The event gathered approximately 100 professionals, researchers, public officers, and students across academic and health sector, aimed to initiate a structured dialogue on the responsible integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Cambodia’s public health system.

The seminar highlighted AI’s potential to enhance public health through more rapid diagnostics, predictive analytics, and more efficient healthcare services.

This seminar also delivered a keynote speech highlighting the Ministry of Health’s Digital Health Strategy, emphasizing the role of digital transformation and AI in enhancing Cambodia’s health system through improved services, data management, and workforce training, while stressing the need for responsible and ethical implementation.

Key outcomes of the seminar included fostering a shared understanding of AI’s potential in the Cambodian public health context, strengthening inter-institutional collaboration, increasing awareness of ethical and technical challenges, and identifying potential pilot projects and future partnerships.
