Phnom Penh, December 6, 2025 — The Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) is delighted to announce that its AI-based AMR Monitoring and Clinical Decision Support Application “Cambodia AMR Predicting Application (CAMPRA),” developed through a collaboration among the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology, University of Health Sciences, and Calmette Hospital, was named the winner of the “Best Digital Research and Innovation of the Year” in the “Cambodia Digital Awards 2025”, presided over by H.E. Chea Vandeth, Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, and held under the theme “Local Innovation, Global Competition” at Koh Pich Exhibition Hall as part of the Digital Government Forum 2025.
On the occasion of the 11th Annual Cambodia Digital Awards, organized by the General Department of ICT of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, 86 applicants from public and private institutions competed for the best digital products and services in the country. The prestigious award ceremony was attended by His Excellency David L. Almirol Jr., Undersecretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) of the Republic of the Philippines, Mr. Jojo Flores, Co-Founder of Plug & Play, leaders representing various countries, leaders from the Ministry, speakers, representatives from ministries and institutions, private companies, digital startups, entrepreneurs, and many technology experts, totaling approximately 400 people from 27 countries.
“Cambodia AMR Predicting Application (CAMPRA),” which reduces antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by improving microbiology analysis capacity and optimizing antibiotic use through machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI), represents a paradigm shift in public health.
CAMPRA is designed to offer instant predictions to reduce wait times for antibiotic sensitivity results, improving patient care. This pivotal journey to combat AMR continues, aiming to further refine the model, expand its deployment to hospitals nationwide, and ensure every doctor in Cambodia has access to smarter, faster clinical decision support tools.
The Cambodia AMR Predicting Application (CAMPRA) is the initiative under the support of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Post and Telecommunications with funding through the French Embassy in Cambodia, a collaborative project between Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), University of Health and Science(UHS), Calmette Hospital, SESSTIM (AMU/Inserm/IRD), and Hopital Europeen Marseille.
