Dubai: On February 15, 2026, H.E. Seng Sopheap, President of the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), participated as a speaker in a high-level panel discussion titled “AI for Future Governments.” The session was part of the World Governments Summit 2026 held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
During the discussion, His Excellency shared insights into Cambodia’s “Draft National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence (AI),” which focuses on building a solid foundation for digital transformation. He highlighted four key strategic pillars outlined in the policy:
Human Capital Development: Training in AI and data science skills, and integrating AI into educational curricula.
Infrastructure and Data Building: Strengthening national data management systems, creating open data platforms, and developing computing infrastructure to support research and innovation.
Promoting AI in Government: Implementing AI technology in public services with ethics and good governance to enhance service efficiency.
Promoting AI in Priority Sectors: Integrating AI into vital sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, industry, and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost productivity and solve practical social issues.
Additionally, His Excellency showcased the tangible progress of Cambodia’s digital government through the success of the “Verify.gov.kh” government document verification platform. He emphasized that this platform is not only a national standard for eliminating fraudulent documents but has also expanded its scope of cooperation to regional countries, including the Philippines, Laos, and Timor-Leste.
On that occasion, His Excellency invited representatives from other nations to explore the possibility of collaborating, connecting with, or utilizing the technology of the Verify.gov.kh platform to promote cross-border data exchange and enhance the efficiency of public services regionally and globally.
Through this summit, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology reaffirms its commitment to strengthening international cooperation to transform AI and digital innovation into practical benefits for society.
