Phnom Penh: On May 4, 2026, the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT) hosted a delegation led by Professor Yassine Lakhnech, President of the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA), France, to discuss the further strengthening of their strategic partnership in digital technology. The collaboration between CADT and UGA, particularly with the Grenoble INP engineering school, has been a robust and high-impact partnership since 2018.
Through this cooperation, Cambodian students and officials have received scholarships to pursue advanced studies in France. Additionally, UGA has consistently sent professors to teach in the Master of Computer Science in AI and Data Science program at CADT and has successfully concluded joint research initiatives. During the meeting, both parties discussed the progress of the National AI and Data Science Research Center establishment under the AFD project, where UGA serves as a key partner in delivering feasibility studies and facilitating peer-to-peer expertise transfer.
Moving forward, the CADT and UGA are exploring additional collaborative projects for the future. Furthermore, CADT proposed expanding this cooperation to include visiting professors for new programs in Cybersecurity and Satellite Communications to meet Cambodia’s growing digital infrastructure needs.
